The Musician’s Ear is a 100% unfiltered classic rock conversation. This is where musicians connect and fans can get the raw thoughts of real rockers. As pure as the music and straight from the source, through peer-to-peer interviews, daily music news, and spotlights on upcoming artists, The Musician’s Ear brings fans closer than ever to the music they love.
Matt Sorum and Seth Frank are the masterminds behind The Musician’s Ear. For them, it’s always been about the music. Cool partnerships like this one have great beginnings; Matt and Seth hit it off over their love of music and gear and have been pals ever since. Creating a place where rockers all over the world can connect just like them is an obvious move.
Throughout his career on stage with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, The Cult, Hollywood Vampires (a supergroup of Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry), and a host of other gigs, Matt Sorum has spoken through his drums. Though he succeeded in using his talents behind the board, completing six film scores and producing platinum-selling artists, the drums always beckoned him back. In 2013, with a Grammy on the shelf from his work in Velvet Revolver, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognized everything he’s said with those drums, inducting him along with fellow members of GN’R.
Seth Frank’s story starts at age 10 with a part-time job at the world-famous Princeton Record Exchange in New Jersey, and peaked with true a rock ‘n’ roll rebellion when he threw a responsible, ‘real’ job out the window and started SoundStageDirect.com. As the owner of the world’s largest online retailer of the greatest albums pressed to vinyl, he lives and breathes vinyl, and does what he loves every day: shares his passion for music. He’s leaving his own stamp on the music world with TME.
