Ann Wilson to Tour This Spring

-Brian Furman

Ann Wilson, we be trekking across North America for a 20 date solo tour titled the “Ann Wilson of Heart” tour. The tour kicks off on March 8th in her hometown of Seattle, and hits multiple cities across the U.S. including Aspen, Annapolis, and Philadelphia. Ann will play a mixture of Heart songs as well as solo work from her catalogue.

Along with Ann Wilson, joining her on stage will be guitarist Craig Bartok, bassist Andy Stoller, and drummer Denny Fongheiser. Wilson, and Heart, is coming off a banner 2016 with the critically acclaimed Beautiful Broken record, and a summer tour that saw three Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductees in the likes of Heart, Joan Jett, and Cheap Trick.

Heart came to prominence in the mid-late 70’s with Ann and Nancy Wilson taking center stage. Ann Wilson’s insane vocal range can be heard on the seminal records 1976’s Dreamboat Annie and 1978’s Dog and Butterfly. The band put out multiple records, but changed their sound in the mid-80’s and found global success with their 1985 self-titled record Heart. The band was inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
