Eric Clapton Announces Tour Dates

Blues legend Eric Clapton has announced a small handful of tour dates in 2017. Clapton will be perftrming at NYC’s  Madison Square Garden March 19th and 20th, then heading to the west coast for two dates at the Forum in Los Angeles on March  25th and 26th. The tour is also scheduled to head to London’s Royal Albert Hall for three dates following the US dates. He will be joined by a host of choice musicians including fellow guitarists Gary Clark Jr., and Jimmie Vaughn.

Clapton has been quiet following his 2015 record I Still Do, his 23rd, and his last performances centered around his 70th birthday. Health issues slowed him down a bit but fans will be happy to see the master guitarist back at work.

Eric Clapton is one of the most influential guitar players in the history of rock n roll. The thrice time inductee to the Rock N Roll hall of Fame is synonymous with blues rock, cutting his teeth with The Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominoes, and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. He gained solo notoriety with songs  like “Wonderful Tonight”, “Tears In Heaven” “Layla”, and “After Midnight” and more recently as founder of the Crossroads Music Festival which benefits the Crossroads Drug Treatment Center based in Antigua. Clapton recently released  live album dubbed Live in San Diego a special concert recorded in 2007 with friend JJ Cale.
