Iron Maiden Announced Plans For a 25 Date North American Tour
Iron Maiden recently announced plans for a 25 date North American trek for their lengthy Book of Souls tour. The widely successful tour’s North American leg will begin on June 3rd in Bristow, Virginia with stops in Nashville, Dallas, and Toronto ending July 21st in Brooklyn. Tickets go on sale to the public on January 27th with pre-sale to the bands fan club three days prior. This is the 2nd time the band will jaunt across North America in support of the critically acclaimed 2015 double-album The Book of Souls.
Iron Maiden rose to fame in the early 1980’s with the new wave of British heavy metal bands including Judas Priest and Motorhead. Maiden has a rabid fan base and sell out every show they play without having the luxury of radio airplay. The band laid the foundation of 80’s metal with 1982’s The Number of the Beast, 1984’s Powerslave, and 1988’s Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Maiden has had a surge in popularity in the last 20 years with the return of singer Bruce Dickinson, and guitarist Adrian Smith. Their easily recognizable mascot “Eddie” has been featured on the cover of nearly every one of their records.
