A Perfect Circle Announce North American Tour
A Perfect Circle, the band formed by Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel, has come out of hiding in the past couple of months, and has now announced a full fledge North American tour. The outing will begin April 7th in Las Vegas and will hit multiple cities along the way including San Francisco, Denver, and Houston. The tour will also bring the band to a few high-profile festivals as well including Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FL, Fort Rock in Naples, FL, and Carolina Rebellion in Charlotte, NC. The tour will be the band’s first since 2011.
A Perfect Circle looks to be writing new music as well with Howerdel stating in a release:, “Getting back to writing music with A Perfect Circle is a great way to start the new year.” The writing sessions are the first inkling of new music from the band since 2004’s very underrated covers record eMotive.
A Perfect Circle released their first record Mer de Noms in 2000 with the singles “Judith”, and “3 Libras” propelling the band to prominence and much more than “side project” status. 2003’s Thirteenth Step, and the aforementioned eMotive sent the band into the stratosphere before the revolving lineup went on hiatus. The current lineup consists of Keenan, Howerdel, former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Jeff Friedl of Puscifer, and Matt McJunkins of Eagles of Death Metal.
Tickets for the non-festival shows go on sale Friday, January 13th at 10 am.
