Fans waiting for Queen + Adam Lambert’s North American tour to roll into their city have good reason to be excited. As reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, the band unveiled a spectacular show during their tour debut in Glendale, Arizona. Launching the concert with the perfect opening salvo, “We Will Rock You,” the group unleashed a steady stream of Queen classics, while mixing in the occasional deeper cut (“Stone Cold Crazy,” “I Want it All”) for good measure.
As evidenced by video clips from the show – including the professionally-shot promo clip shown above – the performance was framed in an ambitious production. Highlights of the elaborate production included a stage constructed in the shape of Brian May’s guitar, and several appearances from the robot featured on the cover of Queen’s News of the World album.
The tour, which is Queen + Adam Lambert’s first full-scale North American trek since 2014, touches down in 25 cities before wrapping up in Houston, Texas, on August 5. Below, you can check out some fan-shot clips from the Glendale show.
