Whitford/St. Holmes Set to Resume Summer Tour, New Album is Titled Reunion
Dynamic duo Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes are prepping for the second leg of their summer tour, which kicks off July 26 in St. Louis. The two recently used downtime from their respective bands—Whitford plays guitar in Aerosmith; St. Holmes does the same (and also sings) with Ted Nugent—to record their second album, titled Reunion. Remarkably, 35 years had passed since the duo first teamed up to make their self-titled debut. The new record, a smoldering collection of blues-tinged riff rock, picks up right where the debut album left off.
“We want to share [these songs] with our friends, all those hardcore rock and roll fans,” said St. Holmes, just prior to the new disc’s release. “Like our fans and good whiskey, we all seem to get better with age. These new cuts are bold, brassy and ballsy, and we can’t wait to play them live.”
